By accessing and using YourFurniture’s web site at www.YourFurniture.com.sg (“Site”), you AGREE to be bound by this PRIVACY POLICY that forms an integral part of the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with this PRIVACY POLICY, please discontinue your use and access to the Site immediately. YourFurniture reserves the right to amend this PRIVACY POLICY without prior notice. The continued use of the Site after such amendment shall be deemed acceptance of the amended PRIVACY POLICY.
This PRIVACY POLICY sets out our policy regarding the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of any personal information you may provide when you access and use the Site, register as a Member, at the point of purchase, in the course of telephone inquiries, upon submission of application forms, and when you use our services and is in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Privacy Act 2012 (“PDPA”). Unless the context otherwise requires, all capitalised terms used herein shall have their respective meanings set out in the CONDITIONS OF USE.
1 Personal Information
As a User of the Site, you may access and use the Site as a Guest or Member. We collect personal information only when you provide to us when you access and use the Site whether as a Guest or Member, when you register as a Member through the completion of forms so as to have certain specified benefits which are exclusive to Members and when you place an order for the Goods and/or our services whether as a Guest or Member (“Request”) or in response to any inquiries or requests in which you have chosen to provide the information to us.
The information collected may be unique and personally identifiable information, such as your full name, billing address and delivery address which are required in order for us to process your orders to purchase and deliver the Goods. Other information for instance, the name of your internet service provider, the website that you used to link to the Site, the web sites that you visit from the Site and your IP Address (which is further elaborated at Clause 4 below) may be collected as well and all information so collected may be stored for various security purposes and could possibly lead to your identification. You will be informed at each collection point as to what information is required and what information is optional.
We will not collect sensitive information about you without your express consent. You can check the information which we hold about you by contacting us (but there may be an administrative charge involved) and if there are any inaccuracies, we will, upon your notification of the inaccuracies, amend the information accordingly. The database and its contents remain with us and stay with data processors or servers acting on our behalf and responsible to us. Personal information refers to any information relating to you that is personally identifiable (including but not limited to your name, contact number, email address, mailing address and credit card charging details) obtained by us through your access to or use of the Site and our services.
By placing your Request whether as a Guest or Member, you agree that we may store, process, disclose and use data collected from you for the purposes of processing your Request and delivering the Goods purchased through the Site.
Please note however that if you purchase Goods for other individuals other than yourself, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are in compliance with the PDPA in respect of your submission to us of their personal information.
2 Your Consent
By providing information to us via the above channels and/or conducting transactions or making applications with us online through the Site, you have consented or are deemed to have consented to all the terms and conditions of this PRIVACY POLICY, including without limitation, terms relating to the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of such information in accordance with this PRIVACY POLICY.
3 About Children
The Site is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older. YourFurniture does not intentionally or knowingly collect personal information of persons under 18 years old or who is not of full legal age. Should you intend to purchase any Goods from the Site, you must be 18 years and above and be entitled to enter into legally binding contracts. If you are under 18 years old or not of full legal age under applicable laws and wish to use the Site and/or purchase the Goods, you may only access the Site with the approval and under the supervision of one of your parents or a legal guardian.

4 Passive Information Provision
Certain information may be collected from you without you actively providing the information when you navigate through the Site. The collection methods employed include, without limitation, the use of Internet Protocol addresses, cookies, Internet tags Navigational data collection and third party analytic tools, such as Google Analytics.
Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are used on the Site in the collection of information. Your Internet Service Provider allocates an IP address to your computer in order for it to access the Internet. The IP address may be dynamic (changing every time you connect to the Internet) or it may be static (unique to your computer). We collect your IP address in order to facilitate our administration and improvement of the Site. The information derived from your IP address can help us diagnose server problems, report aggregate information and determine the fastest route from your computer to the Site.
The Site sends a “cookie” to your Web browser in order to facilitate and customise your use of the Site. A “cookie” is a small data text file stored in your local browser cache. You can accept or delete cookies. For security reasons, you may wish to deactivate the storing of cookies or adjust your browser to inform you before the cookies are stored on your computer. However, please note that if you do erase or block the cookies, you may not be able to utilize some features on the Site. We shall however not in any way, be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from your inability to use such features. A cookie sent to the Site by your Web browser will contain information that you have previously entered, enabling us to recognize your browser and thereby customise and optimize the Site to your preferences. We therefore use cookies to improve our knowledge of your use of the Site and hence the efficiency of your individual use of the Site. These cookies will not give us any other personal information about you.
The information collected by such cookies is needed to improve navigation and to collect aggregate information. “Navigational data” comprises data files such as “log files”, “server logs” and “clickstream” data, which are obtained by the Site from your browser and used for maintenance of the system, improving the content of the Site, market research and communication of information to visitors and Users.
We use analytic tools of third party providers such as Google Analytics to assist us to better understand the use of our services, the effectiveness of our marketing and promotional campaigns and efforts, other Site operations as well as enable us to improve the Site, provide you with more effective services, perform statistical analysis and improve user experience. We have therefore implemented the following Google Analytics features based on Display Advertising: (a) Remarketing, (b) Google Display Network Impression Reporting, (c) DoubleClick campaign Manager Integration and (d) Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. We use Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. Third parties, including Google may display our ads on sites across the internet.
First party cookie, such as the Google Analytics cookie and third party cookies, such as DoubleClick cookie are also used together by third party service providers, including Google and by us to inform, optimize and customise ads based on your past visit to the Site, report to us on our ad impressions, other uses of ad services, interactions with the ad impressions and ad services related to visits to the Site.
Apart from collection of information such as cookies or your IP address which may be sent by your browser as part of a web page request, these third party service providers may provide information on browser type and language, access times and referring web site addresses, including the site from which you are channelled from, the search engines and keywords used by you to find the Site, the pages you view within the Site, your browser add-ons and your browser’s width and height. Third party ad partners may also share information with us, like a browser cookie ID or cryptographic hash of a common account identifier (such as an email address) to assist us measure the quality and customise ads. For instance, it allows us to display ads customised to your particular preferences or interests which you may have shown interest in.
We also use data from Google’s Interest-based advertising or third party audience data (such as age, gender and interests) with Google Analytics similarly for customising ads.) We will display ads according to certain general interest or categories or segments inferred based from demographic or interest data provided when you create an account and from the pages you view and links you click when using the Site and our services and search terms. If you prefer not to receive customised ads, you have the option of turning off customised ads in your privacy settings so that your account is not automatically matched to information shared by ad partners for customising ads.
We take special care to protect your privacy, for instance, we store page views, clicks and search terms used for ad customisation separately from your contact information or other data that directly identifies you (such as your name and email address). We have also built in administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to prevent the unauthorised correlation of this data.
5 Use and Disclosure of Information
Your personal information will not be passed on by us or by our agents for use by third parties in any form whatsoever, unless we have obtained your consent or are permitted by applicable law or legally required to do so or except where it is necessary (i) for disclosure to our business partners and relevant third parties for purposes of proper operation of the Site, provision of our services and delivery of the Goods purchased; (ii) for purposes of preventing or stopping security breaches of the Site; (iii) for preventing or stopping any illegal activities from being conducted; (iv) for rendering assistance to law enforcement, government, statutory or regulatory body or authority or for complying with applicable laws pursuant to an order of court or directive of any governmental, statutory or regulatory body or authority; or (iii) for our protection and/or for public safety.
YourFurniture does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Your personal information may however be shared with our business partners and financial institutions, from time to time in order for us to market or provide our services to you. We may also use the information you provide to send you marketing communications. If you do not wish to receive such marketing communications, you may opt out from receiving such marketing communications in the manner as set out in Clause 10 below.
We will retain control of and responsibility for the use of any personal information you disclose to us. Some of these information may be stored or processed at computers located in other jurisdictions, such as the United States, whose data protection laws may differ from the jurisdiction in which you live. In such cases, we will use our best endeavours to ensure that appropriate protections are in place to require the data processor in that country to maintain protections on the information that are equivalent to those that apply in the country in which you live.
The personal information will be retained by us for as long as you continue to use the Site or our services and in the case of termination of account, for a period of at least one year after it is last accessed or used by us unless otherwise required by law.
We take the protection of your personal information very seriously and recognise the need to keep your personal information registered with the Site secure. We shall take reasonable measures to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personally identifiable information transmitted and to protect it from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
6 Information Given to Retail Merchant
To facilitate the sales transaction between you and Retail Merchant(s) on the Site, YourFurniture reserves the right to transmit, distribute or make available any information that you have provided in relation to any transaction on the Site to the Retail Merchant(s) and any delivery services engaged in the delivery of the purchase. These include but are not limited to, you name, address, delivery address, contact information and any other information deemed necessary by YourFurniture.
7 Aggregate Information
Through the Site, we track general server statistics including but not limited to internet protocol (IP) addresses, volume and patterns for visitorship and peak traffic timings. The purpose for such tracking is to analyze general trends and server loads so as to prevent an interruption of the services. To serve you better, YourFurniture may at its discretion, provide such analytical or aggregate information or data to Retail Merchant(S), investors or other third parties in relation to the general usage and/or performance of YourFurniture. Such general information is however not linked to personally identifiable information.
8 Online Tools
We retain all rights over the online tools found on the Site. However all content posted, published and/or uploaded to the Site by you to our services remain your sole property and shall be made available to you as long as comply with the CONDITIONS OF USE. Please refer to the CONDITIONS OF USE to better understand your rights and responsibilities as a registered Member and User.
9 Security
Appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures have been put in place to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, proper use of the information collected online and to maintain data security. Any personal information that is provided to you to us will be encrypted in transit to prevent its possible misuse by third parties. You however acknowledge and agree that communications through the Internet is not entirely secure and hence any information transferred to us is done so at your own risk. Our security procedures shall nevertheless continuously be revised based on new technological developments.
Whilst we have security measures in place to protect your personal information, please do not send any other confidential or proprietary information through the Site. You should exercise extreme caution when disclosing such confidential or proprietary information in this way. We will not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from disclosure of such confidential or proprietary information that is sent through the Site. By sending non-personal information via the Site or through any other electronic means, you grant to us an unrestricted, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, display, modify, perform and distribute such non-personal information in any manner and for any purpose as we shall deem fit. Please refer to the CONDITIONS OF USE on your duties to keep your user name and password confidential and prevent unauthorised access. We shall however not in any way, be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from such unauthorised use.
10 Your choice
You may choose to stop receiving or change the frequency of email, direct mail, phone and mobile marketing communications. You can update and correct your personal information anytime using My Account or by contacting us at info[@]YourFurniture.com.sg.
11 Changes
As YourFurniture continues to improve the services, products and the features we provide, this PRIVACY POLICY is subject to change. If there are changes or additions to this PRIVACY POLICY, we will post those changes here or in other formats for you to review. If we change our information practices or this PRIVACY POLICY in such a way that your personal information may be used or shared in a manner not described in the PRIVACY POLICY at the time you provided it, we will give you the opportunity to opt-out of having your information used or shared in that new manner.
In a merger or acquisition of YourFurniture, customer personal information will likely form part of the assets to be transferred. Any and all changes to this PRIVACY POLICY arising from such merger or acquisition will be posted on the Site and you will be notified of the changes via a news update within your Account settings page.
